Cellulosic fire includes flammable products such as wood, textile products, paper. Hydrocarbon fire, on the other hand, includes hydrocarbons, solvents and flammable liquid materials derived from petroleum-derived products.

The fire protection coatings selected by engineering studies according to these two types of fire protect the steel structures against fire within the specified time (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 120 minutes, etc.) and provide the opportunity to evacuate and intervene.
